HIFU Treatment Service
This facial treatment will brighten your skin and improve its appearance by tightening it. The procedure is great for your face, neck, chest, and body.
WHAT IS HIFU Treatment ?
HIFU or high-intensity focused ultrasound facial is a non-invasive cosmetic facial treatment that we offer here at Med Spa the Glow. We can also do it on the neck, chest, and body. It’s done for 60 minutes per session.
This has become a trend because it gives the same results as a facelift without going under the knife.
BENEFITS OF HIFU Treatment
- Reduces wrinkles
- Tightens the skin on the neck and the lower neckline
- Makes the eyelids, eyebrows, and cheeks lifted
- Enhances the definition of the jawline
- Smoothens the skin
How It Works
We usually start the HIFU treatment by cleaning the area to be treated and applying a gel. Then, a handheld device emitting ultrasound waves in short bursts is used.
Before the treatment, we can apply local anesthesia to prevent mild pain. Taking OTC pain relievers such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen can also help.
When the session is finished, there’s no recovery period. So, you can get back to your everyday activities after the treatment. You may be required to go back for 1 to 6 sessions depending on the results you want.

F.A.Q
Before the treatment:
- Don’t expose your skin to the sun since it can get burned. Sunburned or recently tanned skin can’t be treated in a facial California clinic or spa.
- Don’t apply chemicals that can irritate your skin.
- You might need to stop if you’re taking antibiotics because these can cause your skin to be more sensitive to light.
- You shouldn’t have a cold sore or fever since this will affect the treatment.
After the treatment:
- Don’t use an ice pack to get the best results. Taking medications post-treatment is not needed.
- Wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams 3 days after the treatment
- Don’t exercise or use steam rooms, saunas, or hot tubs after the treatment.
- Use a non-exfoliant cleaner and mild moisturizer if you’ve had HIFU on your face. You can resume your skincare routine the following day.
- Use skin irritants such as benzoyl peroxide, retinol, vitamin C, and glycolic or salicylic acids 3 days after the treatment.
- Use sunblock with SPF 30 or higher and Zinc Oxide immediately. Apply it every day to prevent irritation and get the best results.
- Follow the post-treatment regimen to maximize your treatment and prevent complications.
HIFU sessions can be done every 2 to 8 weeks. Each session will last for 60 minutes. This is to give your skin ample time to heal between treatments. After the set of treatments is given, the result can be seen for around 1 year. It’s best to have a retouch session once a year to maintain the results you want.
Yes, it can. Aside from destroying fat, a HIFU treatment can improve collagen production. As a result, you can get tighter and firmer skin.
When you’ve just had your Botox, you can wait for 4 weeks before having a HIFU treatment. This is to give the Botox injection enough time to settle on your skin. It’s best to avoid having fillers or injectables 7 days after the treatment.
