Say goodbye to skin conditions like acne, wrinkles, enlarged pores, and scars with our minimally invasive procedure. In this cosmetic procedure, we will cleanse your face and use a relaxing mask that will leave your skin calmer, smoother, and relaxed.

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling, sometimes called collagen induction therapy, is the use of fine short needles as an alternative treatment for deep lines, stretch marks, acne scars, and skin rejuvenation. It is recommended for patients who feel unsatisfied with traditional treatments like chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser resurfacing.

This type of cosmetic facial treatment may be used from the ankles all the way up to the scalp. Dermaroller, the best-known microneedling device, ranges from 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter.

BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING

  • Minimally invasive
  • Delivers results in no time
  • Improves the appearance of old scars
  • Boosts the production of collagen
  • Encourages the growth of hair
  • Increases elasticity of the skin
  • Reduces cellulite
  • Tightens sagging skin
  • Improves wrinkles, fine lines, and crow’s feet

How It Works

The targeted area will first be sterilized and disinfected. After this, anesthesia will be applied and left to sit for an hour to ensure the numbness of the skin and the comfort of the patient. Our dermatologist here at Med Spa the Glow will then perform the skin needling procedure.
The dermis is penetrated by the needles, but the depth depends on the specific goals of the treatment. The treatment takes around 60 minutes per session.

Why Choose Us?

F.A.Q

Do not use Accutane six months before treatment and topical agents that can lead to increased skin sensitivity 5 to 7 days before treatment. Avoid anti-inflammatory medication 3 days before the session and sunburn at least two weeks before it.

Those prone to cold sores should use an antiviral agent two days before and on the day of the treatment. Do not shave on the day itself to prevent skin irritation.

After the treatment, do not use anti-inflammatory medications for a week and avoid direct sunlight exposure and sun for two weeks. Use sunblock with SPF 30 or higher after 24 hours. Do not use arnica, bromelain, or ice on the face to facilitate skin rejuvenation.

Which body parts can the procedure be performed on?

The most popular and common areas are the neck, face, hands, and décolleté. There are also people who have it performed on the abdomen, hips, buttocks, and thighs.

While patients normally experience mild discomfort during the session, it is not painful. Expect to see a little bleeding and micro bruises as the new collagen is stimulated.

The risks are minor. Some get allergic reactions from infection or follow-up routines. Listen to the aesthetician about the proper post-treatment procedures and follow their advice to prevent this from happening. They will also present risks that are relevant to you before the procedure.

It should be performed by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. Check your state laws to ensure compliance. Do not just go to any nearby facial aesthetician to have it done. It is important to ensure that the person performing it has been board certified for your own safety.
